Little by Little Art Show, Milwaukie Oregon September 1

FIRST FRIDAY RECEPTION:  September 1st, 5-9pm.

Every venue is ALL Ages.  These are the venues where the work will be displayed.  This will be an art walk within an art walk during Milwaukie’s regular First Friday schedule, all within 4 blocks of each other.

Milwaukie City Hall Bay Gallery (10722 SE Main, Milwaukie OR) – in partnership with Milwaukie Art Council/ArtMOB, I am able to use the outer gallery area as a temporary art space for Little By Little for First Friday.  Milwaukie’s quant city hall is the former Fire Station, and the “Bay” is where the fire trucks were, complete with a fire pole. Unsold work from this space will be moved to the other 3 spaces for the remainder of the month.  THIS will coincide with a GREAT show inside City Hall – with Milwaukie City Art Council (ArtMOB) hosting 13 Milwaukie/Sellwood artists from Portland Open Studios Tour of 2017/October!  Very excited to have both these amazing shows and artists in one location for First Friday!!

Beer Store/OneDer Gallery (10610 SE Main, Milwaukie OR) – this big wall will be the “main” hub of Little By Little, and will house most of the works for sale.  The tap/tasting room is home to the “OneDer Gallery” – all art $100 or under, so this show is perfect.  In one year, April 2016-April 2017, this venue has sold over 2000 pieces of art.  All ages until 8pm daily.  Normal hours: 11am-11pm/daily.

ChaChaCha Taqueria (11008 SE Main, Milwaukie OR) – a true friend to artists, owner Carmen and her family chain of ChaChaCha is always selling art, and will house two big walls of art for LBL, including a full “dance” floor/salsa lessons for First Friday, outdoor seating and live music, food, margaritas and always a lot of community spirit. Normal hours: 11am-9pm/daily.

Painted Lady Coffee House (2045 SE Washington, Milwaukie OR) – a collector and art supporter, owner Jill Younce (a true tattooed painted lady) has been a devout artist friend, showcasing artist’s works for years.  Constantly selling art (with no censorship) in her family friendly restaurant, Painted Lady is a well known spot for artists, students and folks that buy art.  They also have wonderful coffee and Jill is renowned for her baking and super fresh food – I eat here at least once/week.  Normal hours: 7am-4pm/daily, later for First Friday.
