I started painting watercolors 4 years ago at age 67 when I took a watercolor class at Clackamas Community College. I also like photography and travelling and since moving to Oregon I have traveled around the Pacific Northwest taking photographs and am now looking at subjects with the thought, “how would that look as a painting”. All my paintings are based on photographs I have taken.
I find it exciting to go down a road and find a rusty car or an old barn to use for a painting; this satisfies my wanderlust and my creative side.
I continue to drive around the Northwest with my friend Carol and find and photograph subjects for my paintings.
