When Joanne was in her thirties, she took some oil painting lessons and was mildly surprised that what she produced wasn’t too bad. Then much later she took classes using acrylic paints and found great pleasure in the process. Lately, she’s been working in watercolors. She loves the translucency of watercolor but feels she has much yet to learn. More recently, she has purchased some water-soluble oils and can hardly wait to play around with them. She states that she will never make “Who’s Who” in American Artists but does thoroughly enjoy painting. Affiliations: North Clackamas Arts Guild
